Penn State Policy AD23: Use of Institutional Data

As an internationally respected research university, Penn State has instituted a series of protective policies and guidelines to govern the use of data both within and outside of the University.

Policy AD23 outlines the use of Institutional Data and offers specific information regarding:

  • the responsibilities related to the protection of Institutional Data at all Penn State university locations and branch campuses
  • the requirements that networks must reach if they are to be trusted with University assets
  • which offices or parties are responsible for which portion of the use or protection of Institutional Data
  • the potential action to be taken by the University if any of its policies are violated in relation to the use or misuse of Institutional Data
